Flocked applicators—commonly known as lip gloss or doe-foot applicators—are not limited to lip products; they are also widely used for concealers, eyeliners, cream eyeshadows, spot correctors, cuticle treatments, and many other cream or liquid formulas. In addition, LIBO offers tufted brush applicators to provide further options for different application needs.

The most common applicator types include flocked and silicone tips, each offering unique benefits for different formulas and application needs. With LIBO’s expertise, we help brands select or develop the ideal applicator design—from texture and flexibility to pick-up and pay-off—ensuring a customized solution that aligns with product positioning and enhances consumer satisfaction.

Injection moulding

For the injection moulding process, the elastomer material (TPE, TPU, TPC) is selected depending on the applicator shape and flexibility required for the best performance with the formula.

Flocking

LIBO’s applicator experts will then select the ideal flock length and density according to the applicator shape and desired make-up claim to achieve the most effective product pick-up and pay-off.

Metal applicator

LIBO also offers metal applicator tips that bring a cooling and luxurious touch to the application experience. These applicators are ideal for lip gloss, concealers, eye serums, and other skincare-makeup hybrid formulas. LIBO has developed five unique metal tip designs, each created to deliver both precision application and skincare-inspired benefits. These applicators are available with different stem thicknesses, ensuring the perfect balance between flexibility and durability to suit various formulas and packaging needs.

The cool-touch metal surface not only enhances product delivery for lip color, gloss, or concealer, but also provides a soothing massage effect.
